Yes. We accept motor vehicle accident insurance or car accident insurance. All drivers with Oregon insurance are covered by personal injury protection (PIP). This money is there to help you recover from accident related pain. We handle all insurance billing so you can focus on your recovery. You do not need a referral from your doctor. We also have several great lawyers in the Portland area that we have worked with and that we trust, should you need legal assistance.

Yes. Most of our clinicians are on the Saif worker’s compensation insurance panel. We are comfortable working directly with your doctor to establish the best treatment to help you recover. There are many Portland area doctors that regularly refer to Inner Gate Health & Wellness and that we can recommend to help manage your case.

Yes, acupuncture is very effective for many conditions. We have seen very difficult and complicated cases greatly improved or completely resolved with the use of acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine.

For most people acupuncture is a painless process. There can be some mild ache associated with acupuncture, but most people find the experience deeply relaxing and restorative.
When performed by a licensed acupuncturist, acupuncture is very safe. The World Health Organization endorses acupuncture for the treatment of many pain syndromes. All needles are sterile and single use only.
Acupuncture needles are the size of a hair. They are single use sterile needles that slide smoothly through the skin and don’t draw blood.

Chiropractic care is considered to be one of the most safe, non-invasive treatments for musculoskeletal complaints. Millions of patients receive treatment for neck pain, back pain, sciatica, headaches, and many more conditions with great and reliable outcomes. You can be at ease knowing new research is released every year on the efficacy and safety of chiropractic care for various muscle and spinal related complaints.

During an adjustment you may hear a popping sound known as a cavitation. If you didn’t feel or hear a cavitation, it does not mean the adjustment didn’t work. Chiropractors use a lot of different techniques that will cause a popping sensation, while others won’t. It all depends on your comfort level and which technique is best for your specific condition.
Each situation is unique. Generally speaking, acute conditions often resolve within 4-6 treatments while chronic pain and complicated illness may take up to 10-12 treatments. We will work with your budget and schedule to design the best treatment plan that is cost effective and result driven.
This depends on the condition. Acute conditions respond well to 2-3 treatments per week for a short period of time. More intense situations and chronic conditions often warrant weekly treatments for a period of time. After their chief complaint is resolved many patients opt to come once or twice a month for wellness and prevention.
No. In most cases with Oregon health insurance you do not need a doctor’s referral. Motor vehicle/ car accident insurance does not require a referral. Some Kaiser insurance plans, as well as worker’s compensation insurance, require a doctor’s referral. These are easy for us to help you coordinate.

Our clinicians specialize in pain management, sports injuries, women’s health, and digestive health. We have successfully treated many complicated complaints and look forward to helping you.
