Hypermobility Chiropractor in Portland, Oregon

At Inner Gate Health & Wellness, we provide gentle, evidence-informed chiropractic care for hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD), generalized joint hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), and connective tissue disorders — care built to make your joints more stable, not push them further.

Why Choose Us as Your Hypermobility Chiropractor in Portland?

Care built for hypermobile joints — not against them. We carefully assess which joints need mobilization and which need support and use a variety of mobilization techniques to achieve what your body needs.

Stability over stretching. Our focus is strength, control, and confidence in movement, so your muscles can do the stabilizing your ligaments can’t.

A whole-body approach. We look at how each region works together to find the compensation patterns actually driving your pain.

How Hypermobility Care Works with Us

Standard chiropractic care leans heavily on high-velocity, high-force adjustments. For a hypermobile body — especially a hypermobile neck — that approach can be counterproductive. We assess carefully, and build a treatment plan that provides mobility where it’s needed and stability where it’s not. That’s why care for hypermobility and EDS requires extra training that many offices don’t have.

Rather than forcing unstable joints to move further, we carefully evaluate which joints genuinely need gentle mobilization and which areas need better muscular support. We then combine that with soft tissue work and progressive rehabilitation so your body learns to protect and stabilize itself. Every plan is customized, because hypermobility looks different in every patient.

Benefits and Conditions Treated

We build individualized home exercise programs — hypermobility exercises designed around your joints — to improve stability, build muscular endurance, reduce pain, sharpen balance and coordination, lower your injury risk, and help you return safely to work, sport, and daily life.

Because hypermobility affects the whole movement system, our care goes beyond relieving pain — it’s about building stability and resilience that lasts.
